Dinner for Doors 2017

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated this year’s Dinner for Doors, the evening was a huge success! The event sold out with 215 tickets purchased and raised $83,342 to open more doors to affordable and accessible homes.

We are blown away by the generosity of our supporters and with the funds raised, allowing us to support Calgarians with limited mobility so that they can thrive, dream and be part of community in meaningful ways.

Many thanks to our generous Presenting Sponsor First Calgary Financial, we are appreciative of their continued support of Accessible Housing.

During the evening, we presented two special awards – The Kent Hehr Leadership Award to Darby Lee Young; and The Heart of Community Award to Allan James (Jim) Monk. We are thrilled to celebrate and recognize these inspiring individuals. There was also a Portraits4Change photo booth by Brett Gilmour Photography during the evening, as well as live wheelchair art with Accessible Housing resident, Jason, and local artist, Rebecca Ellison (Radiant Art).

Digital Lifestyles, our Sustaining Sponsor for the evening, set-up an interactive technology demonstration. This allowed guests to try different smart devices that can help individuals with physical disabilities control their environment, such as open and close doors and turn lights on and off.

Our live and silent auctions were a success, thanks to generous donations from local businesses and community partners. Thank you to each and every contributor to the silent auction!

Many thanks to our incredible sponsors: First Calgary (Presenting Sponsor), Digital Lifestyles, Prospector Search, and Tremar Computer Solutions.

Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $90,000! If you were inspired by the evening, and haven’t had time to make a donation, please consider doing so today.
