Welcome to Accessible Housing’s COVID-19 Updates Page

Accessible Housing Society takes our responsibility to help slow the spread of COVID-19 seriously. Like many other organizations, we have taken important steps to safeguard our employees, clients, residents and volunteers, including: modified work arrangements; educating our workforce on how to stay safe; and connecting virtually instead of face-to-face meetings. Check back regularly for updates on  Accessible Housing Society programs, visitor information and the necessary precautions we’re taking during this time.

Dinner For Doors 2020 Postponed

Following close monitoring from health authorities on recommendations concerning public gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Dinner for Doors, which was scheduled for Thursday, March 26. The safety and wellbeing of attendees and volunteers is our number one priority. This decision was made out of the care and concern for all of those who have dealings with Accessible Housing Society, as well as recommendations of event restrictions from Alberta Health Services and the developing situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). Dinner for Doors is a fundraising event to support the mission and vision of Accessible Housing. Since 2014, Dinner for Doors has raised over $250,000 to help Calgarians with limited mobility. We look forward to holding this event at a future date and hope to see you there. Thank you again for your support and understanding during this challenging time.
