Giving Tuesday – good for community!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday might be good for the economy, but Giving Tuesday is good for the community. Giving Tuesday is December 2, 2014, a National Giving Day, the “opening day of the giving season”. It is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for their favourite causes and think about others. Giving to Accessible Housing is easier than ever. You can donate online, by mail or even donate your car. Find our more on our Donate page. If you have been thinking of giving, perhaps Giving Tuesday is the day to make it happen. Many local companies match their employees’ donation dollar for dollar and others make a grant to the employee’s favourite charity based upon the employee’s volunteerism. However organizations choose to support the efforts and generosity of their employees, it is humbly appreciated. Connect with your Human Resources Department to find out more and to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity to give.

I drove to the Chinook LRT parking lot where I was to meet Allan at 10:00 am. I parked my car, pulled the wheelchair out of my back...Read More→
