Accessible Housing Society invites qualified public accounting firms to submit proposals to provide external audit services for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
Proposals are due March 3, 2026.
1. About Accessible Housing
Accessible Housing is a Calgary-based registered charity that provides accessible, affordable housing and support for people with limited mobility. Established in 1974, we now operate three residential programs: Inclusio, Bridge to Home, and Chinook House and deliver outreach support and accessible home-renovation services through our RAD program.

· Annual budget: approx. $5 million
· Employees: approx. 56 staff
· Governance: 13-member Board with a Finance & Audit Committee

2. Scope of Services
Proposals should address the following:
1. Annual audit of the financial statements in accordance with ASNPO.
2. Audit Plan presentation to the Finance & Audit Committee (typically March).
3. Completion of year-end audit and reporting for Board approval before the AGM.
Accessible Housing uses QuickBooks Online for financial reporting and Payworks for payroll. PBC schedules will be prepared by management.

4. Proposal Requirements
Please provide concise information on the following:
· Firm Profile & Experience: Not-for-profit and charity audit expertise; experience with organizations of comparable size and complexity.
· Engagement Team: Proposed partner, manager, and key staff, with brief bios.
· Audit Approach: Risk-based methodology, use of technology, communication practices, timelines, and expectations for on-site vs. remote work.
· Understanding of Accessible Housing: Key risks, audit focus areas, and capacity to meet required deadlines.
· Fee Proposal: Professional fees for 2026-2027, including assumptions; multi-year fee expectations; billing rates by level.
· References: At least 2-3 similar not-for-profit or charity clients.
· Value-Added Services: Support on ASNPO developments, internal control recommendations, training/webinar access, etc.
· Firm Differentiators: Why your firm is the best fit.
